Superb Japanese ukiyo-e woodcut depicting an elegant young woman dressed in a blue kimono, walking beneath cherry blossoms in springtime. This poetic, refined scene perfectly illustrates the refinement of Japanese art during the Edo period. The work is signed lower left, probably by Utagawa Kunisada (also known as Toyokuni III), one of the most prolific masters of 19th-century Japanese printmaking. His distinctive style can be seen in the fine facial features, the supple movements of the female figure and the elegant details of the costume. His work is currently exhibited in numerous venues, including the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. Many prestigious galleries and museums, such as the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, have already presented his work. Viewfinder size Height: 13.77 inches (35 centimetres) Width: 9.44 inches (24 centimetres)
