Presumed portrait of Edmond Blanc, son of François Blanc, the father of Edmond Blanc, the famous French businessman and real estate developer who built the Monte Carlo district, the Monte Carlo Casino, and the Hôtel de Paris.
The presumed portrait of François Blanc (which is signed “de Rudder” and inscribed “to Madame Edmond Blanc”) comes from the same collection and formed a pair of portraits.
