Exceptional dish from the Vieillard de Bordeaux earthenware factory. Exceptional in more ways than one:
- due to its dimensions, 45.5 cm long, 35.5 cm wide at the tips and 33.5 in the middle,
- due to its shape, generally inscribed in an oval but very lively with an alternation of convex and concave curves,
- due to its color, an intense blue alternating with tones of more muted blue.
The decoration is abundant, rich with twigs and foliage highlighting alternating pansy flowers and morning glories.
The fos is covered with the famous signature with three crescents.
The dish is in perfect condition, we will just note a slight lack of color on a barely perceptible tip and a small enamel defect on the reverse of the underside (see photos).
You are in the presence of a rare piece that will bring a lot of elegance to your table or, depending on your choice, will be a popular decorative element in your interior.
