This adorable little brooch is in vermeil and set with small pearls. It's painted inside an oval medallion with a small miniature depicting a lover near a flowering basket, against a background of greenery. The upper part simulates a flower, bordered on either side by a branch.
It measures approximately 4 cm long and 1.5 cm high. It is hallmarked on the pin and on the hook, which appears to be a boar's head. A small pearl is missing from the center of the flower.
Napoleon III period.
