    After Jean de Bologne known as Giambologna (1529 -1608) and Louis-Guillaume Fulconis (1818-1873).

    Fortune, goddess of luck, and Mercury, god of commerce in Roman mythology.
    The bronzes are presented on a cylindrical base in the form of a fluted column.
    Height: 53 cm. Base: W:10,3 x D:10,3 cm
    This pair combines the famous model of Mercury made by John of Bologna for the Medici family in Florence in 1564
    and the model of Fortune, created by Louis-Guillaume Fulconis.
    After training at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Avignon, the latter participated in the Paris Salon from 1857 to 1872.
