A very pretty pair of small silver-plated candlesticks, likely made in England, unhallmarked. Antique piece in the Georgian style, circa 1920–1940. Elegant shape with a turned, baluster-style shaft, featuring alternating bands, bulges, and flared sections, resting on a slightly domed circular base. Small flared candle holders designed to hold thin candles 1 cm in diameter. Beautiful silver patina, slightly darkened in places, revealing a delicately brushed appearance resulting from past cleanings.
11.5 cm tall, 6 cm maximum diameter at the base, approximately 1 cm interior diameter for the candles. In very good overall condition, with a fine patina of cleaning scratches and a few subtle signs of wear. There is some cracking in the metal around the base of one of the candlesticks; it is visible but not very noticeable once the candlestick is placed on a surface. Approximately 200 grams each.
