A pair of rare recessed lights designed by Hans Agnes/One, each consisting of a brass structure with seven light sources beneath cone-shaped opal diffusers.

Hans-Agne Agnes (1919-2009)

Born on the island of Gotland, Sweden, Hans-Agne Jakobsson is one of the most important Swedish designers of the 20th century.

He studied architecture in Gothenburg and completed a carpentry apprenticeship. He initially worked as an industrial designer at General Motors, then as an assistant to Carl Malmsten.

In 1950, he designed his first pendant lights: a pine slat pendant to soften direct light on a shop window. This model was a great success. Jakobsson began producing this model and, in 1951, founded his own company: Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB.

Over more than 50 years in the business, he created over 2,000 illuminated designs using wood, copper, brass, fringed fabrics, and glass.

His creations are timeless pieces highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
