Chinese vase mounted as a baluster-shaped lamp in blue and white porcelain decorated with cherry blossoms. Gilt bronze frame from the House of Cardeilhac. Late 19th century, early 20th century.

On the Cardeilhac house, bought by Christofle in 1951:

Jacques and Pierre CARDEILHAC (1904-1951) had a shop at 24 place Vendôme in Paris.
They took over from their father, Ernest CARDEILHAC (1851 - 1904), himself successor to his grandfather, Antoine-Vital CARDEILHAC (1804-1851), founder of the house. It was with Ernest that the CARDEILHAC house began making gold and silver pieces of silver. Assisted by three artists, the designer Lucien BONVALLET, the sculptor AIGUIER and the chaser VIAT,
These works of various shapes and styles are all considered remarkable for their carving. Numerous awards for the high quality of the pieces offered to the public:
- bronze medal won at the 1823 exhibition,
- silver medals in 1827, 1834 and 1967
- gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1878
