This charming polychrome earthenware lamp features the red, blue, and gold decoration characteristic of 18th-century Imari porcelain. Bottle-shaped with eight gadrooned sides, it is adorned with a pair of peacocks on a terrace from which flowering branches emerge. The neck and base are painted with a scalloped frieze. It has recently been rewired and is presented with a basic lampshade, which does not justify shipping costs.

Bears a mark on the reverse.
    Late 19th century.
Height of the lamp alone: 31 cm.
    Height with lampshade: 55 cm.
