This Art Deco-style stained-glass window depicts an allegory of the Church welcoming a family, the Home, into its midst. It was created by Jacques Gruber (1870–1936) in the 1920s. A leading artist of Art Nouveau in France, he was one of the founding members of the Nancy School. He knew how to follow fashions and reinvent himself. In the field of stained-glass, J. Gruber is undoubtedly one of the greatest artists of his time.
The stained-glass window we have here is made with glass of different textures and colors. The faces and hands of the figures are painted in grisaille. The whole is held together with lead.
Some pieces are broken.
