Our predella is made of carved, polychromed, and gilded wood.
It houses an oil on canvas depicting "The Deliverance of Saint Peter" in its center. The Deliverance of Saint Peter tells the story of how the first of the Apostles, the first pope, miraculously escaped from prison, freed by an angel while the guards slept (Acts of the Apostles 12:5-12).
