Steel, brass, and wood.
Overall length: 110 cm – Barrel length: 60 cm (24") – Caliber: .38 W.C.F.

Flanged barrel with rifled bore; with adjustable front and rear sights; marked on the top: WINCHESTER'S-REPEATING ARMS NEW HAVEN CT KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED 20 MARCH 1866 OCTOBER 16 1860. And the caliber designation: .38 W.C.F.

Silver-plated steel receiver, engraved with scrolls on both sides; Bolt tang marked MODEL 1873 – WINCHESTER – TRADE MARK, serial number 584255B at the lever lock.
All silver-plated and engraved fittings, guilloché screws; buttplate with a sliding gate.
Stock of select walnut, finely checkered and varnished. The stock bears a blackened wooden cartouche on the left side, upon which a Marshal's badge is affixed.

Superb condition for this piece, which was a special order.
