Steel, nickel silver, horn, brass, leather
Overall length: 98.5 cm; Blade length: 85 cm

Nickel silver hilt with remnants of nickel plating.
Long, spoon-shaped pommel surmounted by three discs of decreasing diameter, monogrammed "J.B."
Buffalo horn grip, inlaid with twisted brass wire.
Rounded knuckle guard, pierced with an eyelet on the upper part.
Leather sword knot.
Three secondary branches.
Oval guard ending in a teardrop-shaped quillon.
Straight, single-edged blade with fullers, engraved "PARIS 1914" in an oval on one fuller and marked "F.B.D. NICKEL" in an oval on the other fuller.
Leather sword knot.

Steel scabbard with remnants of nickel plating on one suspension ring, lyre-shaped tip.

Scabbard shows signs of rust.
