Cast brass hilt.
Ovoid pommel surmounted by a dome serving as a rivet button.
Grip with twenty-six flutes.
Straight crossguard, wheel-shaped quillons, inspection marks.
Double-edged blade with a fish-tail edge; triangular flat at the ricasso, central ridge, inspection marks, marked "Talabot Paris".
Leather scabbard marked "GERARD LOUIS A CHÂTELLERAULT", brass chape and locket, inspection marks.
