Brass mounting, cap with laurel leaf border along the short shank.
Handle in brown horn, filigree with copper wire, with thirteen grooves.
Rounded joint arch, three adjoining branches, rolled quillon, control marks.
Openwork top with plant motifs and cut-out rosettes, stamped "49586".
Straight blade with central gutters, marked "Manufacture Nationale d'armes de Châtellerault aout 1915 - Adjt - d'Infrie - Mle - 1845 E", control marks.
Iron scabbard with one strap, stamped "49586", control marks.
