KABUTO (helmet) made of wrought iron with sixteen glossy black lacquered plates.
THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) with four tiers of openwork and patinated copper.
SHIKORO (neck guard) with four tiers of glossy black lacquered iron and blue silk braiding.
MABI SA SHI (visor) short, made of glossy black lacquered wrought iron.
FUKIGAESHI (wings) small, glossy black lacquered and decorated with the clan mon.

A wrought-iron MEMPO (half-mask) with a pronounced chin, movable nose, brown horsehair mustache, visible silver teeth, a cinnabar-lacquered upper lip, pierced nostrils, sweat holes under the chin, and a red lacquered interior.
A four-tiered YODARE-KAKE (gorget) lacquered in glossy black with blue silk braiding.
A nine-piece DO (breastplate) lacquered in glossy black with blue silk braiding.
A seven-tiered SODE (shoulder guards) lacquered in glossy black with blue silk braiding.
A KOTE (arm guards) made of chainmail and glossy black lacquered iron plates, with the clan mon on the hands. HAIDATE (underskirt) in glossy black lacquered iron plates in three rows, adorned with the clan mon in gold lacquer.
KUSAZURI (skirt) in five rows of glossy black lacquer and blue silk braiding.
SUNEATE (greaves) in glossy black lacquered iron plates, mesh, blue silk braiding, and quilted fabric.
Dimensions of the armor in seated position: 144 x 63 x 50 cm.
Sold with its display stand and its GUSOKU BITSU (carrying chest) in wood covered with embossed leather dyed black and gold with the clan crest, and reinforced with metal.

Notes: The Gongen of Mount Atago is a spiritual figure resulting from the syncretism between Buddhism and Shintoism in Japan. The term Gongen refers to a Japanese deity considered a local manifestation of a Buddha, come to protect humans in an accessible form. Associated with Mount Atago, this Gongen is particularly revered as a protector against fires. For centuries, locals have prayed to this deity to protect their homes and villages from fire, a major danger in traditional Japanese towns.
The worship of the Gongen of Mount Atago spread throughout Japan, notably through talismans (ofuda) placed in homes. Even today, it symbolizes protection, vigilance, and the safety of the home.
