Georg Höhn was a 19th-century German landscape painter of the Romantic period. He attended the Berlin Academy from 1828 to 1831, then entered Karl Blechen's studio. In 1838, his painting "A Monastery Court", shown at the Berlin Art Exhibition, was purchased by King Frederick William III of Prussia.
His favorite subjects were oak-tree landscapes in Germany, animated by figures or big game (Höhn was an experienced hunter). Some of his larger landscapes are views of the Dessau region. A painting by Höhn entitled "An Oak Forest in Winter" near Dessau is now in the National Gallery in Berlin.
