Lucienne de Meiffren can be regarded as one of the most astonishing women in French painting of the 20th century.
A sort of original, which was born in the United States under the name of Jacquelin Beam.
Then she came early to rub shoulders in Paris, the world capital of art until the end of the 1950s.
So she adopted the pseudonym Lucienne de Meiffren, capable of reviving in her eyes a threatened society, both frivolous and enchanted.
In 1969, she was still exhibiting at the Salon des Indépendants.
She loved the seaside towns, Dinard and Biarritz, which she punctuated with light and vibrant watercolors, always sought after by collectors.
