Description

A prime subject, among the most sought-after for the artist. On the market, beach scenes fetch on average four to five times more than other subjects. This is a particularly bold and rare composition. The table, the chair, the low wall with the beach towel, and below, the bathers, make this joyful painting a French "dolce vita"... A time of happiness in the heart of summer, in Juan-les-Pins, where the painter was a regular. The pleasure of painting is undoubtedly present. A painter of the School of Paris, Robert Savary won the Grand Prix de Rome and resided at the Villa Medici.

This oil on canvas is in very good condition and measures 60 x 73 cm, excluding the frame. Circa 1960
