Born in Avignon on April 26, 1878, died in this same city of Provence on May 6, 1936
At first an apprentice engraver-lithographer, he was encouraged by his elder brother, a draughtsman.
He entered the School of Fine Arts in Avignon and was taught by Pierre GRIVOLAS.
He participated in regional exhibitions and from 1908 onwards he frequented the Salon des Indépendants in Paris.
He became friends with René Seyssaud and obtained a teaching position at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Avignon.
He had an international career, exhibiting in galleries in Tokyo and New York, as well as in Geneva, London and Melbourne. His paintings sold well
Today his works can be found in the Calvet Museum in Avignon and in Nîmes.
He was nicknamed the painter of the Garrigue.
