This is believed to be a "Phrabot," an ancient Thai temple scroll painting.
The creation of a Phrabot held profound religious significance, linked to the concept of gaining merit, a key element of Buddhism.
It could be attributed to the Rattanakosin school (1787-1910), created with matte pigments on textured fabric or panel. Rattanakosin is the precise term used by Thai historiography to refer to the historical period of the first seven Chakri rulers, between the founding of Bangkok as the capital of Thailand in 1782 and the end of the absolute monarchy in 1932, and has therefore never been the official name of the country historically.
