English porcelain subjects representing loves holding in their hands baskets full of flowers (allegory of Spring). They rest on a terrace, enamelled green in imitation of grass, and are leaning on a flowering bush. Almost naked, they wear only a small pink drape on the hips and carry in the hair a garland of leaves and flowers. To be compared with the production of the Bow factory (England) from which these statuettes most certainly originate, it was founded in 1744 following the discovery (around 1730) in the colony of Virginia, of Kaolin and a fusible feldspathic rock, it was closed in 1776. A few tiny little accidents on leaves and flower petals. Period middle of the XVIIIth century. Dimensions: height 10 cm for one and 10,5 cm for the other.
