This is a deep-bowled plate of a very nice size. I have tried to capture the form in one of the photos take of the rear at an angle. In my opinion, the plate probably dates to 1840 to 1860. It has been brightly painted in famille rose colours with the central scene depicting a family happily harvesting squash.
The condition is pretty good, although, as is to be expected there is some wear from use in the form of scratches. losses to the gold and flaking / crackling of some enamels: please look closely at the photos - you can request more detailed pictures if you need them. There are also two hairlines which are more clearly seen on the reverse, but I have tried to photograph a front view of each as clearly as seen in the last 2 photos.
Approximately, the dish has a 25 cms diameter and stands 4.5 cms high. It weighs 496 g. If you have any questions please get it touch.
