Beautiful collector's plate featuring a handful of medlars au naturel, some open, on a white background, the plate encircled by a wide gold fillet burnished with agate. Underneath, it bears the signature of Manufacture Darte Palais Royal N°21, in iron red. Restoration Empire period.

The Darte factory was founded in 1795, with a kiln on rue de Charonne and a store in the Palais Royal. In 1804, the Manufacture became Darte Frères. In 1809, under the Empire, it came under the protection of S.A.I. Madame Mère de S.M. L'Empereur et Roi. Under the Restoration, it continued to operate until 1828.
