Beautiful sugar bowl or bonbonnière in Paris porcelain. Fine Neo-Gothic arcade decoration, burnished agate gilding. Restoration-period Paris porcelain, early 19th century, 1820s.

It bears the signature of the Manufacture Schoelcher in Paris under the base: the Manufacture Schoelcher (1798-1834) was the heir to the Manufacture du Faubourg Saint Denis, formerly that of the Comte d'Artois, created under the ancien régime. It flourished during the Empire and Restoration, under the protection of the Duchesse de Berry.

A beautiful, large-shaped piece, ideal for placing on a festive table or dining room sideboard, ideal for use as a bonbonnière.

Very good condition, with some wear to the gilding, but no accidents or restorations.
