Set of 6 Empire period egg cups in an octagonal display stand, Paris porcelain enhanced with fine gold. Nast porcelain from the Empire period, circa 1800-1810.
The display stands bear the signature of the Nast Manufacture in Paris in iron red. Established in Paris, the Nast Manufacture was founded in 1784 and operated until 1830. It supplied French high society and several European courts.
The set is in excellent condition, near mint. The gilding is perfectly preserved, with no damage. This Empire period porcelain egg cup is very rare on the antiques market. An exceptional set in this perfect state of preservation.
Note: Two sets of 6 egg cups in their display stand are available to form a larger set of 12 pieces. Our pieces are from a very large Nast porcelain service composed of numerous rare shaped pieces and plates, for sale on our website.
