This beautiful porcelain vase features the most exquisite of decorations: in an explosion of color, the artist has painted a bouquet of polychrome flowers on the front. In the tradition of the greatest flower painters, he has harmonized the hues of the various flowers he has used in his composition, all of which are painted with such realism and delicacy that they appear natural. Fleshy peonies rub shoulders with blooming roses, and a few fushias and bindweeds complete the composition. On the reverse, a more sober bouquet of poppies rises to the neck, with a few flowering twigs thrown in here and there to complete the vase's ornamentation.
