A bronze sculpture with a brown patina depicting the famous Discus Thrower, attributed to the Greek sculptor Myron, this piece captures with remarkable intensity the suspended moment before the throw. The athlete's body, taut in a spiraling motion, reveals a precise and harmonious anatomy, faithful to the classical canons of Antiquity.
Resting on a black Portoro marble base with its characteristic veining, the piece exudes a strong and refined sculptural presence. The contrast between the warmth of the bronze and the mineral elegance of the marble lends the piece a decidedly timeless allure.
This work, both decorative and emblematic, will naturally find its place in a contemporary or classic interior, adding a touch of history and sophistication. An ideal piece for lovers of antique art, collectors, or anyone sensitive to the beauty of a gesture frozen in eternity.
