    Neo-Gothic style bronze with a brown and gold patina, depicting a small shrine in the medieval style. The sides are adorned with escutcheons, and the corners are flanked by statuettes in high relief. The top is crowned with a dome. The whole rests on an alabaster or marble base. French work, circa 1830-1850 (reign of Louis Philippe).

    Total height: 18 cm. Height of the bronze alone: 15.5 cm.

    (Good condition, minor chips to the alabaster base).

    Reflecting medieval architecture, this object is reminiscent of the Troubadour style, very fashionable during the reign of Louis Philippe. Finely chased and partially gilded, this piece may actually be a box with a stuck lid. The object is therefore sold without any guarantee that it can be opened.
