Antonio Canova's statue of the Three Graces is a noeclassique marble sculpture of the three charites of mythology, daughters of Zeus - identified on some engravings of the statue as, from left to right, Euphrosine. Aglaée and Thalie, embodying joy, charm and beauty respectively. The Graces presided over banquets and meetings.
The Three Graces, Canova's first version, is housed in the Hermitage Museum and measures 182 cm.
