Delightful Buste Sculpture in Patinated Terracotta Representing Louise Brongniart, after the model of the famous sculptor Jean - Antoine Houdon (1741 - 1828), exhibited at the Musée du Louvres.
This bust represents Louise Brongniart at the age of 5, the daughter of Monsieur Alexandre Théodore Brongniart, Architect of the Paris Stock Exchange. The little girl, looking to the side, has her hair up in a bun. This sculpture rests on a pedestal in Turquin marble.
Very Elegant Bust, Beautiful Element of Decoration Signed Houdon on the Reverse.
Work in the Louis XVI style, French school of the 19th century.
