The armchair model N°719 F manufactured by the Jacob Josef Kohn company in 1902 is frequently attributed to Koloman Moser, and sometimes to Gustave Siegel. Kohn invented the "90° curve" with extraction of the compressed part inside the curve, which both designers used in their designs.
Dimensions: height: 86 cm, width(ht): 54 cm, depth(ht): 56 cm and seat height: 44 cm.
This armchair is an outstanding example of the elegant, innovative aesthetics of Viennese Art Nouveau. This work in beech and brass reflects the ability of designers of the period to harmoniously combine functionality and decoration. Featured in the Kohn catalog of 1915, it is no longer represented in the Thonet/Mundus/Kohn catalogs from 1920 onwards.
This armchair is upholstered in a Backhausen fabric (Zackenkrone, Joseph Hoffmann design N°MD586A06), with the backrest covered in neutral white leather. The brass legs have been preserved in their original patina.
