Rare and original pair of N°14 chairs by JOSEF HOFMANN, Bielitz factory (Austria) About 1895/1900
The shape of this N°14 is remarkable for the curves of its ample backrest, and for its cherry-wood stain, which was revived with shellac before the cane was changed.
A still-decipherable label is present under one seat;
