    Set of 2 Thonet No. 10 chairs, circa 1870–75, with through-leg construction.
    They are ready to use, sturdy, and stable. Light shellac finish.
     The No. 10 chair is not a common model; it was largely superseded by the No. 11 chair (with an oval caned medallion on the back), but its simplicity and understated elegance make it quite sought-after.
    The front legs are adorned with a turned capital, and the seat frame is trapezoidal (43 cm x 42 cm). This model was intended more for dining rooms than for bistros.
    Seat height: 47 cm – total height: 91 cm
    In very good condition, with excellent axial symmetry. Label (1B) under each seat. The “1B” label indicates a production date between 1870 and 1875. There is no stamp indicating these production dates.
    New six-strand cane work (2.1 x 2.3 mm), taut and flawless.
