A product of French craftsmanship, this pair of decanters dates from the Art Nouveau period (1890-1910). They combine French expertise and luxury.

Their crystal bodies are in the Baccarat style, typical of their production, with a cut and stable appearance, decorated with geometric patterns. The organic forms gradually transition to a more rectilinear and refined shape, indicative of the emerging Art Deco style.

The upper mount and the stopper are made of solid French silver, with the octagonal Minerva hallmark attesting to its first-grade silver content. These decanters were used to hold alcohol or to store oils such as vinegar or olive oil.
