Large brown patina bronze and marble set, signed by James Pradier, representing Nemausa.
Nemausa is seated on a jar from which water flows, pensive, holding a mirror. Her hair is adorned with water lily leaves. The black and green marble base is decorated with bronze (leaves, reeds, rushes...) and supported by 2 antique-style women.
Pair of candelabras with leaves and reed spikes, 6 lights each
Nemausa was a goddess of fertility and healing who belonged to the sanctuary of the spring of the same name, near Nîmes.
According to the catalog raisonné, there are several variations, including this one on a clock.
