This small Chinese porcelain dish has the seal of Emperor Tongzhi on the base but, although this blue background was popular during his reign, it is possible that it was made during the Guangxu period. There is grit on the rim of the foot and the mark appears stamped.
The dish is decorated with two white dragons with green eyes and their scales have been incised not painted. The two hunt for a flaming golden pearl even though one of the dragons already holds a pearl in its claws.
The condition is good, we find only slight wear of the enamels: take a look at the photos please and contact me if you have any questions, thank you.
The dish has a diameter of 13.8 cms x 3 cms (approx) and it weighs just over 150 g.
