A very charming pair of low candlesticks, for small 18th century dressing tables, these bronze, bell-like candlesticks are in the subdued Louis XV style, bulbous and baluster-shaped, and adorned with a very fine, feminine floral motif engraving.
Screw-mounted, they are in fine condition, apart from a small, inconsequential crack on one foot (red arrow).
