Important Ladakh headdress known as perak/peyrak.
Composed of a long red padded fabric richly embellished with more than 330 natural turquoises interwoven with three reliquaries (Gau) and a carnelian appliqué surrounded by coral beads (species not subject to CITES).
The central part is encircled by two large black-dyed astrakhan fur earflaps, from which hang braids made of hair and wool tied together at the bottom.
