Complete 1930 issue of the journal Cahiers d'Art, edited by Christian Zervos (Éditions « Cahiers d'Art », 14 rue du Dragon, Paris VIe). It comprises the 10 issues: nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8-9 (double issue), and 10. This art journal, published ten times a year, covered painting, sculpture, architecture, ancient art, ethnography, and cinema. It was one of the major avant-garde journals of the interwar period, featuring texts by Zervos and numerous contemporaries. The table of contents for no. 1 notably includes an article by Christian Zervos entitled "Recent Paintings by Braque."
A beautiful series with period typography: brightly colored paperback covers (yellow, pink, midnight blue, turquoise, brown, orange, magenta, red), with the issue number on a white label.
