    This memo. consists of an angular wrought iron half-mask lacquered black on the outside and red on the inside. The nose and upper lip, lacquered red, are removable.
    Gorget with three blades and lassage in silk ribbon.
    Mempo were used for the facial protection of Japanese samurai.
