Fetish representing a monkey carrying her young. She holds a cylindrical object in her hand which touches the ground. The mother wears a red cloth tied around the waist and the little one wears one around the neck which tends to humanize this representation.
Crusty patina in places and honey used elsewhere. Remains of hair on the monkey's back and head as well as on the baby's neck. We can see on the base, between the hand and the feet of the monkey, a thicker agglomeration of resin and libations. We can assume that this must have been the major focus of the magical charge.
Very beautiful customary sculpture with naturalistic shapes and the touching expression of a mother and her little one.
