Old snake stick in hard wood with two-tone patina.
It is chiseled with a decoration of engraved lines and diamonds. It is also crimped along its entire length of brass wire winding (1 missing). Two small plaited necklaces of vegetable fibers were put towards the head of the snake.
At the back of the snake is registered an inventory number as well as the place of collection "Ampariake village";
This type of staff was used by witch doctors. The snake is probably a representation of a boa.
