Flamed mahogany veneered barometer-thermometer with gilt bronze and brass trim. Signed by Lerebours, Place du Pont Neuf, Paris. Restoration period, early 19th century, circa 1820-1830.
This scientific instrument, very much in vogue in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, features a large mercury tube at its center for the barometer with the measuring ruler.
A fine decorative object, ideal for completing an Empire or early 19th-century setting.
Very good condition; complete and functional, all tubes intact. The pad varnish has been cleaned and repolished by our cabinetmaker.
