A Louis XVI-style rosewood box from the late 18th century. Rectangular in shape, this box is veneered with rosewood on all sides and is adorned on the front and top with silver fillets and finely inlaid mother-of-pearl circles. The interior retains its original finishes: wallpaper on the back and a silk lining with floral motifs on the inside of the lid. Signs of wear and some missing sections are present. The original lock is functional and comes with an antique key. The antique buffed varnish is in good condition.
