    On a round base, the foot is adorned with a garland of ivy leaves, an applique cross and quatrefoil motifs in latticework.
    The ring is chased with round motifs. The bowl is set on palmette motifs.
    Gilded metal lining under the base.
    A piece by master silversmiths Charles Frederic Berger and Henri Nesme. Active in Lyon, at 122 rue Saint Georges. Their hallmark, the letters B and N, a chalice between the letters, was inscribed in 1889 and crossed out in 1924.
