Our pair of Monstrances - Reliquaries in the form of vases set on a terrace are in beautifully gilded wood. The carved central parts, with openwork rocaille decoration in their centers, form a heart housing an ex-ossibus relic of Saint Fortunat Martyr for one of the monstrances, and of Saint Sabine, also a martyr, for the second.
Italian work of the 18th century.
Dimensions 30 cm by 16 cm wide.
Wax seals on the back.
