It bears the coat of arms of the city of Marchena (Seville). This crosier was intended for the abbot of a religious community in that same city. It rests on a later wooden base.

Probably made of silver-plated metal (or silver but without a hallmark), this particularly elegant scroll crosier is adorned with a large openwork design of scrolls and foliage, surmounted by a fleur-de-lis finial.
At the center of the scroll is a large heraldic medallion bearing the arms of Marchena and the motto COLONIA MARTIA ROMANORUM. The coat of arms incorporates the three arrows associated with Saint Sebastian, patron saint of the city, as well as the heraldic elements linked to the Ponce de León family.

The lower section features a remarkable architectural decoration, composed of niches, pediments, scrolls, and plant motifs, demonstrating particularly meticulous craftsmanship. The piece is executed in a Spanish Rococo style, with much of the gilding still preserved. The knot is adorned with semi-precious stones, and the coat of arms surmounts a black stone, likely onyx, as it represents the moral strength, steadfastness of faith, and perseverance of the pastor in the face of the trials of his office.
