Elegant pair of Regency corner cabinets, luxuriously produced in Paris.

With their curved fronts and sides, they elegantly embody the evolution of Parisian furniture in the early 18th century, when the influence of Louis XIV's classicism softened into more lively and delicate lines.

The veneer is made of violet wood, a precious species imported from Brazil, highly sought after for its tight grain and dense veins with purple highlights.

The complex curling, organized in diamonds within rectangles with a connection in the center of each panel in four sheets, reveals exceptional work in the selection and arrangement of the grain, with a focus on symmetry and an extremely masterful material effect.

The frame is made of solid oak and whitewood, woods used by the finest Parisian workshops to guarantee strength and durability.

The finely chiseled gilt bronze mount restrainedly emphasizes the curves: the corners, rocaille keyholes, and sabots are elegantly crafted.

The marble tops are original.

They are made of Aleppo breccia, a variety prized in the 18th century for its warm tones of beige, ochre, red, and cream, enlivened by striking veins.

This marble was particularly used on high-quality furniture and by the greatest cabinetmakers, as its decorative appearance added luxury and nobility to the pieces.

The presence of the original marbles reinforces the rarity and authenticity of this collection.

The whole is in a very beautiful state of preservation; the french polish has been restored to highlight the magnificent kingwood.
