William Fuglede active in Copenhagen from 1907 to 1937:
Like Jugenstil in Germany, Skonvirke was the name of the movement in Denmark that paralleled the Art Nouveau movements in France and Arts and Crafts in England.
While Georg Jensen was perhaps the most famous of the Skonvirke movement, William Fuglede was also very well known and produced jewelry in Copenhagen from 1907 to 1937. His jewelry all has wonderful swirling lines and is embellished with semi-precious stones of high quality and chosen for the inner light they give off, like the moonstones set on our brooch.
